Hello,

I've been battling rosacea for the past five years. I've had the

problem under control until recently. I've been taking noritate and

Klaron together and they seem to help a great deal with the acne. I

took minocycline non-stop for a year and decided to go off because I

really didn't want to continue on antibiotics any longer. Since I

went off the minocycline I have had problems with flushing. I was

wondering if anyone had the same problem. Do the antibiotics

actually help flushing and, if so, what is the alternative after

going off of them?

I was reading another post and someone mentioned propranolol that was

prescribed to them for flushing. Has anyone had any luck with this?

I've heard of meds that control flushing, but I've been told that

they interfere with the vascular systems ability to perform normally.

I just feel like I need to find some answers quickly before this gets

out of hand. I've seen pictures of people that have severe rosacea

and it is definately a scary thing for me. I keep looking in the

mirror expecting to see veins or serious redness. Does this happen

to all of us who can't keep our rosacea under control? My derm told

me that I shouldn't worry about my condition getting that severe, but

for some reason I'm having my doubts.

Has anyone had problems with expanding pores due to topical creams

such as noritate or Klaron? If so, is there a treatment for this

kind of problem?

Since my rosacea has become worse I have been very irritable and I

find it hard to concentrate. I have been told by my derm that all I

can really do is avoid the triggers. There are so many things that

trigger rosacea and it is impossible to avoid all of them. There has

to be a better way. I have had alot of luck with products made by

Young Living Essential Oils. I have never tried any of their products

for rosacea, but there is a new cream called Prenolone that is

topically applied. This cream contains Pregnenolone, which is the

precurser hormone from which the body creates all sex and adrenal

hormones, including progesterone, estrodial, estrone, testosterone

and DHEA. I've been told that many people with rosacea have found

this cream to work miracles when nothing else helped. I just ordered

some for myself and I'm going to give it a try! If anyone in the

group has tried this I'd love to hear about it.

If anyone has suggestions please let me know. Thanks a bunch, Jodie
