Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I just wanted to update all on a few things I have been using/doing for the last few weeks that I have found to be successful. For one I switched from Kiehl's Ultra Gentle Face Wash (which was not irritating me, I just like to switch every so often) to Aveeno Skin Replenishing Lotion. It does not irritate me at all and feels really nice on my skin. I am not sure how well it will do for oily skin people, my skin is dry. Still even in the humidity my face does not feel greasy which would often happen with other cleansers. My flakes have decreased a lot. Another helpful product is Neutrogena Healthy Defense Lotion SPF 30. I am not sure if others have used this, but I really like it. Again it does not make my skin greasy like most sunscreens do (you know its bad when a person with dry skin gets greasy too!). I have the untinted version, but they do have two shades I believe. I have tons of samples and I am broke so I don't think I will be buying the tinted version any time soon. If anyone has used it and has some comments, let me know. On another note (a diet one that is), I was encouraged by many of you who have made diet changes and saw your rosacea go into " remission. " I too decided to change my diet and have discovered a few things. For one, I believe I have a real problem with preservatives, though which ones, I am uncertain. This shouldn't surprise me since I apparently couldn't eat baby food for the same reason. I can't say that I have been extremely faithful to any one particular diet (what can I say, I love food!) but I have been trying to drink 3-4 liters of water/day, and include as many fresh fruits and vegetables as I can. Last week I went on a very simple diet for about two days, eating a dinner of fresh food but drinking my other meals in the way of fresh juice (love my juicer). The results....well, I looked awesome, if I do say so. Restricting my caloric intake that much is not healthy for a very long period of time however, so I resumed a healthier eating schedule after that. I have been trying to drink fresh fruit and vegetable juices and have continued to see an improved skin condition. Maybe it is all those antioxidants. Ok, I have rambled on long enough. I just wanted to share some tips that I have discovered in the last couple of weeks. Good Luck , Jena ---------------------------------
