Guest guest Posted February 23, 2002 Report Share Posted February 23, 2002 I've read on the group how Arginine is implicated in Nitric Oxide production which seems to play some role in cea. I've also read in other places on the web how Arginine plays a central role in wound healing. I bring this up because, in addition to cea, I have the pleasure of being susceptible to Keloid scarring. (Basically I get large puffy scars - Women who have keloid scarring generally can't get their ears pierced or they will end up with something looking like an extra knot of flesh hanging from their ear). Anyway, what I'm curious about is whether or not anyone knows whether cea and Keloidism have the same root cause - overproduction of Arginine? This may be simplistic, but I'd be curious to know how may cea sufferers also have scarring issues whether Keloid or otherwise. Anyone ever put this idea forward before?
