Guest guest
, You are facing the same challenges that all post ops face. Some are luckier than others as to what they can an cannot eat. I have found that if I take a tums before each meal that it helps trememdeously. And we need our tums anyway for the calcium it provides, so don't forget to hit the tums as needed. I crave vegetables too. Can't eat sweets or greasy foods. I do use real butter on my toast or corn bread and on baked potatoes. I am almost 5 months post op and I am still making adjustments as I go along. I use to eat a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast and now it doesn't agree with me any more. So it is an on going adjustment for some of us. Some of the people don't have this problem but most do so don't be discouraged. Your depression will get better as time goes by. We all miss our old friend " food " from time to time, but when you get on the scales and you look in the mirror and you start having more energy, then it is more than worth it!!! And anyway after a couple more months you will be able to eat more normally in small amounts and the whole thing will just get easier. Blessings, MGB 1 10 2000/ 78 lbs gone forever/ Thank God!!!!! Guest guest
, Congradulations on the weight loss, you are doing well, its dosen't sound negative, just a period of adjustment, I think that is fairly normal. You are in my thoughts often and I know that this to shall pass and things will get better. Robynn
