Guest guest
Adam sent this privately, but I think he makes an important observation. I hope he's OK with my sharing it with the group: -=-=-=-= If Possible you might want to start with a lower dose of Niacinimide/Nicotinimide at first to test for a reaction. (If the directions are take one pill daily thats probably not possible, but like for instance if you are supposed to take it twice a day or something..) Niacinimide isn't supposed to cause flushing like Niacin does, but it did for me, and for a few others on the board. -=-=-= Adam, thanks for the warning, but I don't believe that it's pharmacologically possible for true niacinamide to cause flushing. I wonder if the flushing you and others experiences was the result of a bad batch of niacinamide? (When a product isn't FDA approved, the company is not legally required for the product name and dosage on the label to conform to the actual product in the bottle. We're all left to trusting the company that makes the product. A responsible company -- not just one with nice customer support people -- is everything when buying OTC medications and skin care products) Marjorie Marjorie Lazoff, MD
