Stopping steroids/flare-ups/anti-histamines

Hi,

I recently stopped using steroids(cortisone), and my face seemed

to stay clear(or stay in the early stages symptoms), but it seems

this week that my symptoms were increasing towards full redness

with small papules on my cheeks and nose(middle stage). This is

the worst my face has looked, really missing the steroids... but

I know to stay away from them. Been off the steroids for about

approx 6 weeks.

I have been using Noritate and the brown III-ltd disks, which

seemed to be working, altho not too sure now. Hoping this is just

a flare up that will fade away!

Some questions:

1) Does anyone use anti-histamines? with idea of controlling

redness/itching.

2) Curious why metrocreams(noritate) which are antibacterial

(from what I understand) help reduce symptoms. Is rosacea

related to skin bacteria at some level? If so why do steroids

works so well...
