I talked to the GYN at MUSC today and I have to go for a pre-op appt. Oct 10th. in ton. I was going to drive- I can't afford a plane ticket AND lodging but there is no way now I would be able to make it in time. It really stinks because I have a friend that is a OB/GYN in Carmel I was going to meet up with one day. I was hoping to maybe pick her husbands brains about some of the controversy with estrogen. He is a reproductive endocrinologist but is no longer practicing, he is now involved in research. I think with Eli Lilly. Anyway, My surgery is scheduled for Oct. 16th. The plan is to go in and " clean things up " meaning the endometriosis and adhesions. My other options were live off more pain meds or a total hysterectomy. After a month of soul searching I opted for option #2. Sorry I can't make it. I was looking forward to it.
