Guest guest
Yes, I find that Salmon makes my face worse. For me it usually happens within an hour or two after eating it. Some people say Salmon and other fish help their cea because of the oils, but I personally find that eating salmon makes my face very red, swollen, and oily. I do not know if this is part of the fact that most oily foods (Any kind of oil) make my face horribly worse, or if its just some kind of allergic reaction to fish (although if I had to guess, i'd say its the first one because I've never had a problem with fish before) I have seen " fish " appear on a list of foods that might cause a problem for ceans on several different websites. Then I have seen on several other websites that fish (especially salmon) is one of the best foods you can eat for cea because of the omega fatty acids. I think Its just one of those things that is a trigger to some and not to others.. if you notice its a trigger for you, you probably shouldn't eat it very often. Guest guest
It seems to me that any product you eat regularly has a chance of triggering sensitivities in some people, especially if yr diet is already very restricted. I imagine you could keep off the salmon for a couple of months then eat it again and find you have no reaction at all. One way of stopping these sorts of reactions is to keep to a rotation diet where the same foods are only eaten every 4-5 days. > I have read about salmon being one of the best foods that we humans can eat, > not just for our skin but for our bodies as well. > > Therefore, I started eating salmon about twice a week for the past few > months thinking it may improve my rosacea symptoms and seb derm symptoms. > Usually poached in water and fake butter with a few mild spices, sometimes > just plain old poached salmon. > > Now, it is starting to become apparent that there is no coincidence in the > fact that every time I eat salmon, the next day, my face gets worse- -the > rosacea gets redder and more inflamed, the seb derm more red and flakey, and > my skin just seems to become alot more sensitive the day after eating > salmon.
