Guest guest
I took two days off, to catch up on some gardening and other things around the house. Yesterday, the day being very nice, I did some work in the garden (sunscreen on, of course) and as usual, physical work usually makes my face turn red. That has been so all my life, nothing to do with R. I am your typical cream skinned Irish rose, albeit one who has never been to Ireland (including my ancestors). Really, sometimes I think I should have a word with my mother, why didn't she go looking for a husband to Spain or Greece? Well, too late, I suppose. I went back in the house at 11 am and stayed indoors until almost 4 pm and then went out to the garden to finish - I had to dig a rather deep hole for a shrub, replace all the soil , etc. - and I could feel my face was getting warm, but I was so set on finishing the job that I didn't pay attention. Then I went back to the house to wash and my right half of the face was almost purple. (My " bad " part of the face migrated from the left to the right cheek during the past month). Remembering the post about icepacks, I pulled out some frozen stuff from the freezer (I think those were turkey necks, gizzards and other delicacies for my fourleggers ) and applied it to my face until it returned to paler colour. However, my face is still more pink than usual today, and the right cheek is very warm, though not red (all the way to the hairline). I know I deserve good spanking for this, well, hopefully I will keep this in mind in the future. Alena
