New York Magazine Article on Cosmetic Procedures

Hi,

I was reading this fairly recent article from the May 27, 2002, issue

of New York Magazine about how doctors trained in other specialties

are now abandoning those in favor of doing cosmetic procedures like

botox injections and laser surgery. These non-dermatology and non-

plastic surgeon MDs oftentimes don't have much training in the

procedures they're doing. Since some of us might be getting IPL or

VBeam done in the near future, the link to the article below really

reminds you to check the doctor's credentials thoroughly before you

submit to a procedure.
