I've been taking Actigall (bile salts) for about two weeks now and

this apparently either produces or stimulates bile production.

I have barfed a few times from eating too much or too fast and

previously, there was no bile taste.

Today, I ate cottage cheese for the first time (Breakstone small curd

in the little 4 oz. containers). It was the first thing I had eaten

today, other than my pills a couple of hours earlier.

I ate two small bites, slowly, even chewing the cottage cheese,

and promptly barfed, but it had a bile taste to it. So,

I wondered whether this was the legendary " some people can't

keep down dairy products " problem, or if it had something to

do with the bile. I have had no problem with milk or yogurts,

which are both dairy products. I think I had some cheese,

too, oh yes, in those four loaded nacho chips I had from

Taco Bell a week or so ago. So I doubted that dairy products

were the culprit.

So, when I finished barfing, I tried the cottage cheese again

and was able to eat the rest of it (about 3 oz.), no problem.

So at least *some* of the barfing is apparently caused by bile

in the stomach and that is *probably* related to the Actigall.

My Conclusion: If you barf and taste bile, it doesn't mean you

can't tolerate the food that set off the barfing.

Just my two cents.
