Guest guest
BJ came home crying yesterday, and difficult to get off the bus. He also smelled like shaving cream. We had the same problem last week when he came home smelling like shaving cream. He was " off " for a while, and then had a manic (laughing) episode during dinner. I have benn able to trace the bi-polar episodes to certain foods, but they seem to be pretty good about not letting him eat illegals at school. (It seems every child in the classroom is on a different special diet.) I looked at my older son's shaving cream, and noticed it contained a sugar alcohol and I wonder if this would cause a problem if he's absorbing it through the skin. He also has a very bad habit of putting his hands in his mouth without realizing he's doing it, so he may have injested a little bit. (sensory issues) I've sent a note to the school and asked them to send me the brand name so I can check it out. Does this make sense to anyone else?
