Guest guest
Well, I saw a new GI local to me yesterday and he was amazed that other GI's were playing it so safe with me. They all want to rule out everything else that they think the pains could be and all kept focusing on Irritable Bowel Syndrome..but the funny thing is..I have no colon to cause IBS. He gave me a script for Ultrase, told me to keep my fat intake to a minimum, help myself, and said unfortunately, my pancreatic attacks sound like they have become chronic. I drove the 2 hour drive back home crying. It wouldn't be so hard for me to deal with but for the fact that I worry about my little girl having her mother spend time in hospital so often and not knowing who can care for her while I'm in there. My chiropractor is very up to date with Pancreatitis which surprised me and he told me that the Islet Cell Transplants are being done mainly in Europe and the Middle East and at a highly successful rate. Also, he said that they are using stem cell research with some success and in about 5 years time, they feel that the Islet Cell Transplants will be minor to the breakthroughs they are expecting. Let's hope so. Meanwhile, I'm probably going to go back to Australia for treatment as my family can help look after my little girl while I have my tests done. Now I need to find money to get there..any ideas? *laugh* Not the best graduation news I've ever been given, but as my husband told me..there are people worse off than I and not to give up hope.
