Guest guest
The hospitals fiscal year is ending soon......so they are trying to maiximize profits.(They are being forced to it appears...they made a promise NOT to lay off employess two years ago for three years and they MAY have to reconsider that committment. Something I am sure they are trying to avoid by keeping costs down. If they limit care to a few now.....it will be open in the future hopefully for ALL later. Also they(some accounting type person) did some poor calculations somewhere and they have less money then they thought it was discovered since Duke leased the hospital. Its all on the net .Do keyword " durham regional hospital " and READ. > Terri, thanks for informing me....since i have been offline for so long i > did not so that it was the hospital that has told the doctor to stop taking > medacaid.....i had no idea that a hospital could do this.....can they really > refuse care ????? by one of the e-mails that i read, it sounded like the > doctor, did not want to take medacaid any more because it did not pay > enough.....i guess it is always 2 different stories...what i should of done > before posting was call the hospital first to find out....which i think is > what i will do....this way i will feel better..and i will know what i am > talking about before i post.... it is just not fair...please me me > posted.....michelle...and thanks for setting me straight
