Guest guest
Hi , When you sugar drops low a good way to get it back up quick is OJ. And recently someone told me that peanut better was another good way to get sugar up, But I haven't try the peanut better trick yet. So I don't know how it would work on me. I know what you mean about being shakey when you sugar get low. It happens when my sugar gets high or low. I get the same reaction to both high & low, so i have to take my sugar to see if it's high or low. I have this helps a little. When mine goes high or low quickly is when I feel the worse, not when it does it over a long period of time. I hope your feeling better soon, as it's kind of scary. I also get like I'm in a fog. Take Care, Louie in WV Re: low blood sugar I need some help from those of you that are diabetics. This is the third day in a row that I have an episode of just suddenly breaking out in a cold sweat and becoming very shaky. This evening when it happened, I checked my glucose and it was 53. I ate several pieces of candy and the sweating stopped but I still feel like my insides are shaking to pieces and now I'm nauseated from the candy. My mom says she thinks my sugar is probably spiking high and then taking a nose dive. However, the highest it's ever been when I checked it was 157 (and that wasn't fasting). If my glucose is low, that means my panc is producing more insulin than I need, right? What could be causing this? I have gained a great appreciation for those of you who have to live with this every day. I feel like total crap each time it happens. Any advice would be appreciated.
