Hi Cecilia,

I am a little confused by this statement. What does your physician give as

the rational for calling your Pancreatitis Idiopathic if you have a known

Divisum?

That may be a common practice, but I thought that most doctors don't like not

knowing (excuse the double negative) anything. So if they know you have a

Divisum, it seems they would grab that diagnosis and run for the record.

Having your Pancreatitis classified as idiopathic, does make complete sense

to me because I don't think anyone really knows what the deal is with

Pancreatitis anyway. There are so many things that can cause Pancreatitis,

most of the causes are probably multi-factoral.

That is why I added two entries for the causes of Pancreatitis on the

Diagnosis Database. I went ahead and added you to the database. You can go

to:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pancreatitis/database?method=reportRows&tbl=\

9&tblName=Presumed%20Cause%20of%20Pancreatitishttp://groups.yahoo.com/group/pa\

ncreatitis/database?method=reportRows&tbl=9&

tblName=Presumed%20Cause%20of%20Pancreatitis to complete the information

with the date you were diagnosed. It looks like Jang also has the same dual

diagnosis of Idiopathic / Panc Divisum.

Hmmmmm?
