Hello everyone!

Yesterday we had Wyatt's CF Clinic. He is doing terrific. I was a

bit disappointed because it is our last one here in Hawaii before our

big move back to California and his pulmonologist who's followed him

for 3 years wasn't there. His son got sick so his assistant

(replacement when he gets orders to a new place) came in for the

pulmonary part. His lungs were really clear and they said he sounded

terrific! (for the record, he always does, even when he's sick)The

respiratory therapist really had nothing new to say either.

His Pulmo doc did give me some great advice on Cepacia and asking

my new hospital (LA Children's) what their Cepacia population is and

what measures do they take to keep everyone safe. They didn't get his

last PFT Results which I had questions on so I was a little upset

with that. You would think they would have them as we did them a week

ago but whatever.

Saw a dietician for the first time in the three years we've been

stationed here. She was useless but oh well. I've been getting lots

of good info lately from Kim so who needs the dietician :) ha ha

The GI doc said his growth chart looks awesome. His weight was only

up a tad but his height really jumped. They figure his weight will

catch up to the height soon. He weighs 48lbs now and I forget the

height. They always give it to me in centimeters which I hate! Give

me pounds and feet/inches when measuring him! We recently called in

to up his enzymes from 5 w/ meals to 6 because I noticed lots of

grease in his stool. He said that dosage is getting pretty high so he

also put us on Zantac. Over the counter 75mg twice a day. Wyatt was

stinking up the house when he pooped and he said this should help

that out. He gave us the names of two GI Docs at LA CHildren's that

he HIGHLY recommends so I hope they are working w/ the CF Clinic so

we can get one of them.

His regular doc is going to do our medical summary for transfer so

hopefully Wyatt will get to say goodbye to him when we go pick that

up.

I'm just relieved he is staying so healthy and we're good till we

get to California and get settled.
