Hey there all...

I am so sorry it has taken me some time to update you all, but it is good

news that I pass along. Brandan was released on day 18, Friday, August 30th,

although he does have pain still it is a different pain, not the pancreatitis

pain, it seems as the days go by to be less and less. His back has been

bothering him but after seeing Dr. Sutherland today its possible that it could

be due to still the spleen healing, after all his body has been through an awful

lot these last few weeks. Dr. Sutherland did give us the ok to head back home

today, although with anything as always its a day at a time. Brandans sugars

have been staying right where they should be, since the surgery. He has been on

long acting insulin since leaving the hospital last friday, and today we were

told to start bringing him down on the dose in hopes that the islets are going

to kick in and start doing what they are suppose to do. Things for us are going

wonderful and we pray that they continue to do so, Brandans dad is flying in

over the weekend and we are going to start heading back home, with any luck we

will be back home early next week. WE THANK EVERYONE for all they have done for

us and especially for all the love, support, thoughts and prayers that everyone

has given us. We will keep you all updated as we can, as always keeping you and

yours in our thoughts and prayers...Keep smiling..TTFN...Peg and Brandan...: )
