Your story is so familiar (up to before the operation) It could be my story. I don't have advice to give, I'm still too new to this myself. I just wanted to send along some words of encouragement. There are many people on this site who are very experienced and can give tons of good advice. I have found this site to be alot more informative than the docs. Hang in there. I hope you're CT results were helpful, but if not, YOU know your body and when things aren't right. Everybody deserves the best quality of life possible, and that is what doctors have sworn to do their best to provide.
