My nurses at my Home Infusion Office, where I go each month to get my morphine

implanted pain pump refilled, told me to be to take one of my percocet every

morning even if I was having just a little pain, because the longer you wait,

the longer and possible more pain meds your going to use,if the pain gets out of

control and you've waited a long time to take it. I have found that this is

true for me. Now when I get up and if I having a little bit of pain I take only

1 pain pill and that does the trick. There are some days I can go clear to

bedtime without another pain pill. Before I was waiting till my pain got really

bad and then it seemed to take forever to get it uncontrolled. I had to take

more and take it more often. This has worked for me as most of the time I'm

taking less. I know that you don't won't to be addicted to your pain meds, but

you don't want to be in constant pain either. I guess what I trying to say

sometimes a little pain meds will do the trick so your not suffering all day

needlessly. I know that everyone pain tolerance is different, but so far this

has helped me a lot.

Take Care,
