Hi MGB friends. I am back in Delaware and on the other side!! I think

did an excellent job of describing what goes on. Many of you know that I was

a bit afraid of the " holding area " you go to pre-op, but that really was no

problem. The nurse Sheila that everyone raves about truly is a sweetie.

After she put in my IV I was totally calm. I almost fell asleep. She said

there is something in that that calms you down. I don't remember going into

the operating room but once I was in there and they started strapping my arms

down I remember someone asking me if I was claustrophobic (sp?) and I said

" sort of " and that was it for me until about 4 o'clock. (my op was at

10:30) I was totally out of it until 4. I do remember people saying she is

not waking up and you need to breathe. That sleepy juice really wore me out.

My littlermates were wonderful people. Elaine came around and got me later

that evening and we took a walk to Gloria's but then I got the dry heaves.

The next day I was much better and had a chance to meet and talk to Jill and

Cassandra. Both really nice people. Dr. R is great. I will tell you all

that I was totally impressed with him. He is honest, open, funny and put me

right at ease with his total candor. BTW I was the one he referred to as the

shortest one so far 26 min 45 sec. And no, Dr. R, my sis-in-law didn't like

it but...who cares! I did not have the gas pain that every one speaks of. I

had a pain in my breastbone area (solar plexus) and Dr. R said it was from

the staples and razor (cutting). But that is now gone. I do feel really

good. I am tired and my staples itch. But that is it.

Amy, I am sorry that I missed you. Had I been alone I would have stopped

over but I had someone else with me. Sorry. How are you doing?

e, I was wondering if it was you that Dr. R might have been operating

on when the lights went out. LOL Do you know how Nate made out?

Well, that is all for now. Good luck and prayers to all who go next week!!
