Neurontin is usually used to treat epilepsy. I don't

recall ever hearing of it being used as a pain med. I

was on it for a while for migraines at a lower dose

than they use for epilepsy, but it made me too sleepy

to continue using it, even if it had worked for my

migraines (which it didn't). The day I literally fell

asleep at work talking to my boss is when I called my

neurologist to say we needed to try something else! I

don't remember any other side effects other than

sleepiness.

Subject: My doctor prescribed Neurontin and it scares

me!!!

My derm prescribed it for pain and said it would help

with flushing

also. Does this drug usually cause nasty,

rosacea-unfriendly side

effects? It sounds nasty from reading the PDR, but is

anyone out there

using it now and what side effects are you having

other than

drowsiness? Thanks.
