Guest guest
Hello K! I am allergic to the dye they use during a CT. Although my reaction was different then yours. The first time I had the CT with the contrast it was a very scary experience. They injected the dye and then I felt like I couldn't breath. I felt like my throat was closing and my heart was pounding!! But I had no idea that that was not normal. When the test was over and the technician came to say I was done I was already breaking out in hives. So they immediately shot me up with benadryl and made me stay for an hour or so to make sure I was OK. So now everytime I have a CT with the dye I have to start a steroid called Prednisone 13 hours before the procedure. And have to take benadryl. If I were you I would tell you doctor about your reaction to the dye, allergic reactions can be deadly. Hope you are feeling well! Sending lots of happy thoughts your way......
