There are many spelt products here,

Just to clarify: Spelt is an archaic form of wheat.

While may not set off allergies in some people, that

group is probably a smaller subset of people who can't

tolerate gluten -- the hefty protein found in wheat,

rye, and barley. Oats, with a similarly-sized protein,

are problematic for some, too. Spelt contains gluten.

Don't fall into the trap of thinking that cornbread

doesn't contain wheat -- if it didn't have wheat flour

in it, it would be as dense as a hockey puck!

Wheat shows up all over the place -- chips and snack

foods, salad dressings, non-dairy creamers, french

fries, sodas, alcoholic beverages, some chocolates,

ice cream, soups, condiments, etc.

There is far more of it in our diet, as a hidden

additive, than we were ever meant to eat!
