Guest guest
> I thought that you had bought new glasses that were 100% titanium (because > the old ones were not). So now I am confused . What are the new ones made of? Alena, the new ones are great: half-rimless, so the bottom part are just the lenses. Plus, they sit higher on my face and so they're off my cheeks most of the time, even when I smile. Unfortunately, there's been several problems getting the lenses grinded properly, so I'm back to wearing the old ones for a while. Even though 100% titanium are nickle free and so hypo-allergenic, they're not allergy-free like plastic or glass. (My old old glasses were made of flexon, which are fun to bend and are also advertised as hypo-allergenic, but I later discovered they contain a small amount of nickel.) Having the glasses off my cheeks makes a big difference for me, maybe the biggest difference. Half-rimmed or half-rimless? I guess like a half-filled glass of water, it depends whether you're an optimist or pessimist. Marjorie Marjorie Lazoff, MD
