Results of Abdominal CT Scan

Hi Everyone,

I just got the results of my Son Josh's 8 1/2 wcf abdominal CT Scan. The Dr.

said there was a thickening of the walls of the Colon. Our next step is a

colonoscopy. When I questioned the Dr. about it he said this thickening is

often found with Chrone's Disease (spelling?). He said some children with CF

also have Chrone's Disease.

Anyone have any experience with this? Has anyone else's kids gone through a

Colonoscopy? I am really dreading the " clean out " , I don't think the actual

procedure is going to be so bad, as he will be asleep.

I just feel so bad for him, it was torture for him when he had to drink the

oral contrast for the CT scan. I usually handle all this so well, but this

has really upset me. We usually don't have much to deal with, with his CF.

It just brings us into the reality of this disease. Yuk!!!!
