Guest guest
hey chums. i was just reading (you know those funny lines on paper, before film?) my july issue of prevention mag there was an article on oregon grape the article is short on info but i'm sure it's also hype and horse-feathers but they reported a 70% success rate using oregon grape for chronic skin problems ... they speak of the daily use of a tincture and cream that takes 3 months to show effectiveness. here's a letter to the editor: i've battle with rosacea on my eyelids for years. i tried accutane and doxycycline but neither of them helped me much. then i read in 'mailbag' how oregon grape root helped someone with eye problems. i told my opthalmologist that i wanted to try it. within three to four months, we noticed a definite improvement. i continue to take it faithfully; although i still have rosacea, it's much better, and the herb keeps it in check. my opthalmologist tells me that he's since recommeded oregon grape root to more than 25 patients and most are seeing great improvement. his partner has started recommending it too. anyway maybe more snake oil smoke and mirrors but thought i'd pass it on. stacey
