The free workshop will demonstrate the products and service available and show the clearinghouse's potential to help Extension professionals nationwide in reaching out to Spanish-speaking audiences. The clearinghouse was created by a grassroots coalition of Extension communicators at four universities: Texas A & M, New Mexico State, California, and Illinois, with support from CSREES. Extensión en Español's core collection now contains materials from Texas, California, New Mexico, Illinois and South Carolina. Spanish public service announcements from the University of Kentucky, diabetes information from Kansas State University and a PowerPoint presentation on community development from the Southern Rural Development Center at Mississippi State University will soon be added.
