Guest guest
Hello, One of our local hospitals encounters many Tzotzil speaking patients, mainly as OB-GYN patients. We have many hospital documents, videos, etc. available in Spanish, but are having problems trying to communicate with female patients who do not understand Spanish, without going through the husband/male family member/friend as interpreter. Does anyone know of any patient education resources available in Tzotzil or other indigenous languages or have any suggestions on alternative formats for patient education that would work for this population. Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions! Amy Scoggins Grant Project Coordinator Outreach Grant Dept. D. Archbold Memorial Hospital Phone: 229-227-5503 Fax: 229-227-5505 ascoggins@...
