I went for my pulse dye and this is what happened

I have been waiting for this since the end of January. My

appointment was at 2:00. I met another girl there from the group.

She flew from FL to get the pulse dye done. I was so nervous about

the whole thing. It was cold in the doctor's office. I couldn't

believe i was flaring with it being that cold. I guess it was my

nervous. Anyway it took a good while for the doctor to come in. The

nurse told me to wash my makeup off and then she took pictures. She

couldn't believe my face was that red. I looked terrible. The

doctor came in and told me I had a lot of little tiny bumps on my

face and that it was causing more blood flow to the surface of my

face. He told me in order to get a pretty complexion that we were

going to have to get rid of these bumps. He took a plastic piece and

scraped some bumps off my face and took it to look at it under a

microscope. He came back and told me that I had a lot of mites in my

skin. He said that everyone has mites but some people have alot more

and some people can be allergic to them too. He told me that he

wanted to get rid of these mites so he gave me this prescription to

take called Ivermectin (Common brand name is Stromectol). You take 5

pills all at one time just one time. He told me that the bad news is

that I could flush and flare worse for 7 to 10 days but the good news

is that some peoples rosacea is caused my mites and he has had some

cases where he would get rid of their mites and their rosacea would

clear up. He told me not to get my hopes up because everyone was

different. He told that once we got this under control then we can

go for the laser. I told him that I had had 11 photoderm

treatments. He told me that no one should be doing laser on my skin

until they got my other problems under control. He seemed very very

nice. Hes the best doctor I've been to so far. He was at Duke

University. He is suppose to be in the top 10 laser specialist in

the world. I'm just hoping he can help me. He also gave me a

prescription for Plexion and wanted me to try Eucerin AHA. He told

me he knew that I couldn't probably tolerate the AHA but to try it so

I could get a lot of these flakes off my face. He said that the

flakes were irritating my face even more. So I tried the Eucerin but

it really irritated my face after 3 uses so I figured I could use in

once a week to try to help with the flakes. I haven't tried the

Plexion yet. I need to go get the prescription filled but I would

like to try a sample of the Plexion to see if I can tolerate it

first. Do any of u have any samples? My doctor was all out of

samples for the plexion.

I did take the medication WEd night. Thursday morning I felt a

little lightheaded but that went away after a couple hours. I will

keep everyone updated. By the way the girl I met there from the

group was able to get the pulse dye and it looked like someone had

took a purple marker and drew purple circles on her face. It looked

fake. It didn't look as bad as I thought it would so I am defintly

going to get it done once we get my other problems under control.
