Guest guest
Triana, We were told to use the vinegar with tap water to clean our nebs up until about 1 week ago. They suggest dishwasher (but they have to get HOT) or boiling. Any parts (like the fish mask) that can not be boiled needs to be rinsed in sterile water (I boil some water and then let it cool slightly and then rinse off the fish mask while the rest is in the microwave. We got our bottle sterilizer at Meijer.Just check in your local baby section. The other methods were using really strong chemicals that would really hurt there lungs if not rinsed well enough...so I am NOt going there! I did try to micro sterilze the really cheap (2 week) masks. The neb part melted!!! The pari neb holds up well and the clear (heavy plastic) mask that sometimes comes with it can be put in the micro sterilizer. I feel a lot better about the cleaning. If you sterilize it right befor you use it then you do not need to worry about stuff growing in it! Good luck! mo to Hannah (3 wcf) and Tommy (5 1/2 wocf) > Our clinic has us using the vinegar (we go through tons of the stuff). Hmmm...I may just ask them about microwaving when we go in...sometime in January...I gotta call them Monday and find out exactly when her appointment is...I finally bought a calendar. I haven't had to carry one for years, but finally got one so I can keep up with her stuff, and my stuff, and everyone's birthdays, etc. I'm being made into a responsible adult!
