Guest guest
Hi, I have been using Nortitate for my rosacea (unsuccessfully, I feel) and have been also using a face shield and Olay fragrance free products. This week my face and neck have broken out into an awful rash that looks like acne. We here in NJ have been having high 90 degree weather and I feel the heat may play a factor. I work in an unairconditioned environment. Anyway, I went to the doctor last night, clearly, stated the medicine I was taking and he prescribed Clarinex (pills) and my concern is Erythromycin (gel). When I read the ingredients on the gel they are: erythromycin, 40-2 alcohol, propylene glycol, and hydroxpropyl cellulose. It says adverse reactions are peeling, drying, burning, itching, etc. I have been cautiously avoiding products containing alcohol and this seems like something that is going to burn my skin. Also, it says it will take 8 weeks to work and is an antibiotic to treat acne. I don't think I should use this and need advice. Thank you!!
