Guest guest
DON'T DO IT!!!! I have KP on my arms, & had it on my face as an adolescent. I used a buff-puff in an attempt to get rid of the bumps, but I overdid it & ended up with a puff-burn! It was awful - having a scabby area along the side of my nose & cheek & having to go to school the next day (7th grade, no less -- I wanted to die!) And boy did it sting! Also - my derm advised me (& I have found him to be correct on this) that using mechanically abrasive things on KP only makes it worse. I have found this to be true of my arms. I would check into salicylic acid products/BHAs to induce exfoliation. But be sure to consult the derm on this, as I can't speak from experience on how to deal with your situation. I don't want you to do something that would make things worse. BTW - I have found that Neutrogena Acne body lotion (2% sal. acid) helps my arms quite a bit, but I have to apply it 2-3 times a day.
