Guest guest
Hello everyone. I just joined this list this week and have enjoyed everyone's posts regarding their experiences with cea. I have recently self-diagnosed myself as having cea. I went to my GP and he said that it probably was, but just in case he wanted to try some anti-acne topical gel (BenzaClin) first to see if it would work. Well, this coincided with my health insurance being cancelled and I didn't want to pay the $80+ dollars for the BenzaClin, plus I began doing research and purchased Dr. Nase's book which I devoured in one sitting. Anyway, here are my symptoms. I'm a 32 year old male, and I've never had acne problems or any other facial skin problems. For the past 1.5 years, my face has been red (upper cheeks and middle forehead) more often than not. Now my upper cheeks and middle forehead are permanently pink/red and over the past month I started getting popules and a couple of postules on my left cheek (which prompted me making an appt. with my GP). These same areas have been dry more often than not over this period of time and occasionally flake a bit. My face doesn't burn or sting, and I haven't been able to identify any triggers. Over the past week my forehead has cleared up (not pink/red, just still a bit bumpy) and my cheeks, especially in the morning, are only visibly pink, although they still have the popules & postules. The only thing I've been doing differently is acknowledge that I have a facial skin disorder, use Vita-Oil after showering and before bedtime, and drinking more water (at least 4 8 oz glasses). So, I am in the information overload stage at the moment and it's becoming overwhelming. I have ordered various products and now I'm confused as to which to use/try first. I should have health insurance again begining April 1st and I plan on making an appt. with a derm ASAP after that date. So until then, given my symptoms, any suggestions on how I should approach self-treatment? I have ordered the cea LTD III product, and I have been using Sy's Vita-Oil for the past week. The Vita-Oil has worked wonders for my flaky skin condition. I haven't yet decided on a facial cleanser, and I'm leaning towards the Zia Fresh Cleansing Gel recommended by Dr. Nase. Any and all input/replies/suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you, - _________________________________________________________
