Guest guest
Just thought I'd put my 2 cents worth in since Louie had mentioned me. I'm returning again to Cleveland Clinic on Wednesday, but basically to sever ties with them. I have not had a good outcome with them and actually being admitted there is the worst experience I have ever had and I have been to quite a few hospitals. If you would end up going there I would suggest seeing Dr. Dumot if at all possible. I see doctor Conwell, but Dr. Dumot is the one that did my ERCP and seems to care the most. The hospital operator wouldn't let me call his office when I was admitted and kept telling me the nurse had to call. So I had my husband call Dr. Dumot's office from home and even though he was at another office the nurse emailed him and he called my room within half an hour of my husband calling. He seems to really care and I think he has a good understanding of all this. I will let you know how tomorrow goes, but I think I'd have to agree with Louie and tell you to give Mayo a try. I have set my sites on Dr. Sutherland now in hopes that he can help me, but if you are still in the diagnoses department the Mayo Clinic might be your best bet. Guest guest
Hi , I would waste your time of money on Cleveland Clinic. I'm at end -stage Chronic pancreatitis and the only thing they could offer me was a procedure that they thought might help, but I have already been told it would not work because of the perversions failed nerve blocks, So I felt like I made a wasted trip. They might be better with someone just starting out with acute pancreatitis. You could ask Jenise how her luck with her ERCP turn out at Cleveland Clinic that she had done there recently. She might have had better luck than I did. This has been my 3 experience with Cleveland Clinic with 2 other things wrong and I did not get any help with anything I have been there for in the past either. I do know for fact that they do have a good heart center. But the pancreatic Center wasn't impressive for the amount of time you had to wait to get into them. If I were you I would try Mayo Before I would try Cleveland Clinic. This is just my opinion. Take Care, Louie in WV What is the best Pancreas Clinic I am trying to research where the best place would be for my sister to go to for her problem with recurrent acute pancreatitis. After several ERCPs, cat scans, and a Sphincter of Oddi test nothing can be found that is causing this. I have heard the doctors at Indiana University are good, but are they only good if you havent had these tests done before. Where would be a good place to go. We are in Michigan and her dr. is thinking about Mayo or the Cleveland Clinic. I am just looking around for opinions I guess. Thanks... PANCREATITIS Association, Intl.
