Guest guest
Hi all: I have been off line for awhile cause my puter is kaput! Using a library one now. But had to put my 2cents worth on this subject so here goes: First of all, I have never, ever, ever heard of pancreatitis being a " death sentence " so to speak. Nowhere that I know of does it say that folks with pancreatitis go to " death " guaranteed. Enlighten me here, who is giving this info out? Yes, many die from pancreatitis, but many folks also die from other diseases that are not " classified " as " end-stage " etc. etc. Please, please, PLEASE tell me where it is that says you automatically die from this disease. We have enough problems but if that is not correct, I sure hate to hear folks being told that this is an automatic death sentence. Alcohol and burnout. Please , don't do this. Now that would be one good way to kill yourself. That pancreatic " burnout " you are looking for might well result in your death because when it stops eating hte pancreas it might just keep going. Also, pancreatic burnout IS NO GUARANTEE the pain will go away. Also on a more sensible side...........If you do the alcohol thing, it might just screw up your malpractice case! I can't tell you the ins and outs it would take all day but it might. I haven't gotten to read all the e-mails I have missed, but I am very concerned about why this particular Dr. Haasis started taking you off the Dilaudid to begin with? If he says you are going to " die " with the pain, why did he back down on the med? Not too bright in my book. I won't get to read replies for a couple days and I am not ignoring anybody. Just trying to catch up when and where I can. Take care all and a pain free pancreas day to all Kaye
