Hi and we''re glad to have you with us.. I'm jan and have CP for 6 years,

too. I also live in Port Charlotte, Florida........ I don't quite know

where Dade is, though... I think there is one more member that lives in

Miami or nearby.... but i can't recall his name... but he messages quite

a bit.... seems really super! That's nice.... you can live with your

sister.... as she can be a nice support for you... I live with a wonderful

man that treats me like a Queen...... now for 7+ years.... so 6 of those

years i have been sick.... and he couldn't be sweeter or more

understanding... I couldn't do it without him,,,, i know... I have 2 sons

both older//// 18 and 21 yrs and one goes to FSU and the other is a newlywed

expecting a baby in May.... they live in alabama.. They are wonderful and

understanding.... my light.. I can relate to the " no veins " thing.. Mine

roll and burst... and I have centerlines everytime i visit the hospital.....

not toooooo bad... I have no insurance... and no job for 3 yrs now as the

hospital visits are many and pain is usually my middle name. Do you have

good doc's there?//?? Good ones are hard to find and hold on to. I have an

excellent GI doc here Dr. ph.... i just love him... He found me 3 yrs

ago in the ER and is very knowledgeable about CP...specialist. I have had

many ERCP's and stents and am now facing surgery soon to drain some large

pseudocysts... one on my pan the other on my left kidney.... Surgery is

not one of my favorite things to do... but it's a must.... now! I will go

to Tampa General Hospital for that... Did you know that hospital does

Pancreas transplants??? Neat huh? KThat makes me feel better about going so

far.... 3 hour ride. We're here... not just to discuss medical.... but just

to chat,.....too.. I'm a good listener.. and have made many friends here on

the web... and that is comforting to talk to people who experience the same

thing as i do.. We talk about everything.....here... it's ok.... to

vent... and share... So... i hope to hear from you.... I am 46 yrs old

somedays.....feeling 146!!!! take care and glad to know you're not far!!
