Guest guest
Hello, My son has been on the gfcf diet for the past 5 months. We are vegetarians. He still has the " failure to thrive " condition. Hasn't really put on any weight since he's been on the gfcf diet.I started him on eggs since the last month. It seems that he has tolerated them well. He doesn't have any ongoing diarahhea. I just started the scd diet with my son two days ago. ( not the intro diet ) . Is it okay to skip the intro diet, since he currently does not have active diarrahea. He loves the banana pancakes. He did not yet have a BM yesterday. He wants to have banana pancakes whole day long. My concerns are how many eggs per day can he actually have? Also he has been off cows milk, since the past 5 months. This is what he had yesterday: banana pancake, almond milk ( home made ), 1/2 avacado, pureed/cooked peach, omlette ( for lunch), spincach + carrot + onion soup for lunch. pureed/cooked pear + cooked carrots for dinner, lemon juice . My questions are: can I put him on almond milk, lentils/bean soup ( mentioned in the BTVC book ) early on when introcucing him o n this diet? Because the book mentions to introduce almond milk, lentils etc 3 - 6 months later on. Any suggestions for vegetarians will be EXTREMELY helpful. Thanks, laxmi
