Guest guest
Kristy saw the Specialist on 23rd September and attained the best lung function ever! The previous night she had to come of stage at a concert because of breathing problems. She is currently on Pulmozyme, Singulair, Ventolin - before exercise and when needed and Atrovent. She has recently been taken off Seretide because they felt it was contributing to her lung problems. Kristy is now clear of any lung infection. For the past couple of months she has been experiencing episodes of not being able to get enough air into her lungs whilst exerting herself, especially outside. This has also occured during a choir concert and rehearsal, ventolin does relieve the problem along with sitting calmly. These episodes are causing problems with her PE teacher, whom Kristy feels doesn't really believe her and yes we've met with the teacher and she says she understands. She has been diagnosed with exercise induced asthma in the past but the specialist doesn't seem to think asthma is a real problem. I have now started her on Qvar because her peak flows dropped a little in the last week and the Specialist gave me the prescription just in case. Does anyone else have a child that experiences this kind of thing? Barbara Mum to Kristy 12 with " mild " CF
