Hi Tammy,

I agree that your doc seems not to be up to par. But unfortunately I

did not find something written to show him. There is no standard

treatment plan that I know of. Anyone else?

But nevertheless in my opinion it is " standard " to do sputum cultures

or at least deep throat swabs at every clinic visit (preferrably

every three months) and to do an extensive blood work once a year.

Due to their malabsorption problems pwcf are at a higher risk to

develop several deficiencies (e.g. vitamins A,D,E and K, selenium,

zinc, iron and whatnot). And through the blood you have a good chance

to detect liver problems at an early stage. I would at least mention

it to your doc and ask for his opinion on this.
