Guest guest
DW, Clinic is not held at the hospital but it is nearby. It is on Crutchfield Rd. After surgery I used my pain pump a few times. Not severe pain but annoying. My surgery was about 2pm and I didn't use any after 8pm. I got up unassisted at 10pm. I was discharged the next a.m. and did not get my pain prescriptions filled. I did not have enough pain to need it. I did sleep alot that day and was able to sleep on my stomach. The next day I went to the mall that was nearby, when I got back I did take a nap. I stayed on the 2nd floor and was able to go up the steps without pain. I was also able to carry my grandson (at least 25#). My personal suggestion -Don't take much with you to the hospital, you just don't need it. I took a gown and robe and never put them on. Some others may have a different perspective but this is mine. My surgery was 2pm, I went to my room after 4pm, and in the a.m. I was discharged. FYI- they have gowns large enough to fit us and we put ourselves on the operating table. These were things I worried about. Since I was a later surgery I got to wait with the 2 other late day MGBers in a waiting room with our supporters. That was a fun and informative time, great way to bond. Good Luck! Darlene dwester@... wrote: > Everyone, > I finally have my surgery date, July 12. I am so excited!!!!!
