Guest guest
Heidi, You may have noticed that I have started a nutritional files section on the yahoo site. It is always under construction, as I find more Pancreatitis pertinent information. The format I want to use is a narrative of information followed by individual's comments. I am an avid reader of nutritional information as well. I do believe that " we are what we eat. " May I add this post to the " Fats " information file? I did want to comment about your recommendation for flax oil. I am a strict vegetarian, so fish oils aren't an option. Have you looked into the flax oil Vs ground flax seeds? Dr. Weil speaks frequently about the long term stability of oil based products. When they go rancid, they can become toxic and become oxidants in themselves. However, he still recommends flax oil as an option for those who do not consume fish, and for those who find the consumption of flax seeds to cumbersome to grind, and/or basically unpleasant to the palate. Do you shop at a Natural Foods Store? If so, do you have access to the free magazines at the checkout counter. I am referring to " Great Life, " " Delicious Living " and others. They are good because they have excerpts of recent nutritional studies. For the most part they are multiple pages of advertisements, but they are actually interesting, because it is overwhelming to try and choose from the hundreds of vitamins, etc., in stores. I always enjoy reading your posts as they do focus on the nutritional aspects of healing or symptom control prior to the utilization of pharmaceuticals.
