Guest guest
I really appreciate all the kind messages the group has sent. It seems like we're doing okay. Our doc thinks she just has a bad cold. He listened to her chest and said he thought all the noise was mostly upper airway congestion. To be sure he got a chest x-ray and it looked good. He also sent a swab out to see what she's growing. We'll continue the Septra and treatments and hope nothing else grows in the meantime. Torsten, you're right about the first illness being scary. My first born never ever sounded this bad, plus I'm am really scared about what could happen. I suppose I'm going to have to relax a little because this won't be the last time she gets ill! After hearing all of your stories about late diagnosis I am grateful we got our diagnosis so early (at birth with meconium ileus). Does life with these kids ever stop being scary?
