Hello All,

Glad to be here, but confused about our DAN!'s recommendation to start

SCD and the antibiotic Metronidazole at the same time...

I started SCD about 15 days ago and held off on the antibiotic b/c I

wanted to see the results of the diet alone - well, the bm's improved,

but behaviours are extremely regressed and aggressive towards 16 mo

sister (who is allergic to treenuts and milk!)

Raised bumps on very rosy cheeks coincided with his poor behaviour and

I wondered about the peanuts and almond flour being a problem b/c of

sister's allergy...

Anyways - any advice/expectations/etc about using the antibiotic and

being on the diet in its initial stages? Like - how to differentiate

between what's working?

My other question, and I apologize b/c I'm sure you've seen it so many

times before... if you give banana pancakes and peanut butter and eggs

for meals in the first days of SCD, is that an infraction of the diet?

He won't touch the soup!

Thank you so much for your time,

Lynn

and Mia 16 months (severe milk and treenut allergy)

Fifteen days into the diet may be too soon for any nuts at all.

And peanut butter shouldn't be included from the beginning. It is

fairly difficult to digest.

Besides the banana pancakes what else will he eat?
