Guest guest
Hi, Since Matija brought up the Chillow idea for puffy faces, I copied my post from January about using it. (BTW I was never able to figure out how to use it comfortably - it just made my face too cold!) Is it possible that keeping your ears (and face)cooler at night would help? I had been noticing that when I woke up in the morning, the side of my face that I'd been sleeping on was redder. So I recently bought the Chillow at http://www.greatgiftsetc.com/Chillow.htm. (It costs about $25 plus shipping.) It's made out of a pliable plastic and is about the size and the shape of a heating pad. You add some water to it and slip it inside your pillow case on top of your pillow. It definitely keeps the side of your face that's on the Chillow much cooler. In fact, I found it was a little too cold for me and I woke up chilled in the morning. Also, unfortunately, I like sleeping with a very very soft thin feather pillow, and the Chillow made it a little too rigid for me - even though it is very soft and thin. I'm going to try and see if I can come up with a compromise somehow. My feeling is that if I could figure out how to make it more comfortable for me (not quite so cold and a little softer) it could help improve my rosacea by at least keeping my face cooled down while I'm sleeping. If any of you think that having a cool face at night could help you, I encourage you to try it. (Check out the website above for a picture of it and a description of how it works.)
