Hooray for you.

The guys really do miss their friends but are not as eager to say so

as we gals are.. Maybe that is a "Guy Thing"

Ralph thoroughly enjoyed having his buddy's drop by at any time. They

were always welcome. That way they could stay aware of what physical changes

were going on.

He attended church when he felt he could do it. Sometimes he started

out good and came home in practically a fetal position. Getting him undressed

and into his lounge chair or bed was a challenge, but he loved to see his

friends. Some times he was "up" for the full three hours of getting

ready and then back home.

It was a joy for me to have his friends, and mine, eager to help when

he was down. At those down times they helped me get him into the

car. Our three grand kids were always ready and eager to help too.

This awful illness takes everything, including friendships away.

Ralph had several friends who took him to Missouri to fish. It was a

tough assignment but they made it a couple of times. Another friend

took him to the fishing dock at one of the lakes here. He very rarely

lasted for more than a couple of hours, but it was good for him to get

out.

Guys need man talk.

Good luck on your new plan. I whole heartedly agree, do as much as you

can with friends. So many just want to be asked because they do not know

how to just do what they would like to do for you. (Wow what a sentence

that was. I am not going to rephrase it)

I was always happy to see a friend at the door.

May God bless you in your new "Assignment" as Social Chairman.

Have a lovely day. Same to all who are reading over my shoulder too.

Barb

Keep

smiling.
