Guest guest
Timo, Pain in the chest can be related to medicines, MSA (acid reflux) or heart problems. It is always best to have chest pain checked out by the doctor ASAP. If the pain is in the chest and down the left arm, I would take an aspirin (unless you can not take aspirin) and get to the doctor immediately. Guest guest
Anne did mention it several times to the doctor, but he cannot explain it. The pain seems to be more sever after eating. The exact place is just under and between her breasts. Would stomachrelievers (correct spelled?) be of help? Guest guest
Timo and Anne I have experienced severe chest pain for about 15 months now,My heart tested out Ok(apart from Tachycardia) so then they thought it must be reflux....the acid blocker pantoloc made very little difference so the source of the pain remains unknown.I feel it behind my sternum, accross to my armpits and it is usually accompanied by spasm as it gets worse .I have put it down to vaso constriction of blood vessels and altered blood chemistry as my CO2 is too low ....so probably part of my SDS.If Anne gets pain intermittantly and often after meals it could be reflux.Obviously she should consult her Doc but be advised that sitting up after meals is recommended, not eating or drinking for 3 hours before going to bed and sleeping with head of the bed raised 30 degrees all helps. Also keeping away from spicy foods ,chocolate(groan) and peppermint. Hope this helps Love Marg Manson Timo & Anne wrote: Hi gang, is having pain in the chest, and in particular in the main bone one of the symptoms of MSA, or is it due to a medicin which I thought I read in one of Bill's messages? Guest guest
Timo, It sounds as if it may be acid reflux - if so there are several medicines which may help. Ask your doctor about Prevacid, Zantac, Tagamet and other acid reflux pills. Note certain foods cause acid reflux more than others - mine flairs up if I eat raw cauliflower - cooked is okay. Highly spiced foods also make it flair up. Take care, Bill Werre Timo & Anne wrote: Anne did mention it several times to the doctor, but he cannot explain it. Guest guest
Timo Is Anne experiencing chest pain? I don't know if I would just chalk it up to being MSA. I think you need a doctors opinion about it. I would either call the doctor or take her to the emergency room asap. Let us know.If you already know, I am sorry for posting this since I am so behind in my reading. I just care. Guest guest
Marg, Your groan after chocolate made me laugh. Most women do have a hard time giving it up. I don't care for chocolate except ever once in a while I want a candy bar. I do love peppermint though so I have to groan with that one. I think your advise was wonderful and glad to know that you did see and ask your doctor about it. God bless, Belinda Hi gang, is having pain in the chest, and in particular in the main bone one of the symptoms of MSA, or is it due to a medicin which I thought I read in one of Bill's messages? Guest guest
Timo, I agree with Belinda, this pain could be caused by acid reflux, angziety, problem with the heart, or a pulmonary embolusim. Get to a doctor ASAP! God Bless, Judy & Jim Stark Re: Pain in the chest > Timo > Is Anne experiencing chest pain? I don't know if I would just chalk > it up to being MSA.
