Guest guest
I am a severe diabetic with lots of nerve damage, ect... A while back my docotrs recommended that I have a gastric bypass surgery. I have completed a lot of research on the subject and decided to go ahead with my doctors recommendation. I have completed all procedures for getting my surgery approved by my insurance company but they are still denying to pay for it. Therefore I am going to have to self pay for this surgery. I have decided to ask for donations to help pay for my surgery that is scheduled for December 16, 2002. If you would like to make a donation, please email me at ssnyder1161@... for additional information. Thanks for your help!!
Guest guest
You can pay for your surgery the way that I paid for mine! OUT OF YOUR OWN POCKET! I am sorry if I sound unsympathetic, but this is NOT the forum for financial support. HELP!!!! > I am a severe diabetic with lots of nerve damage, ect... Guest guest
Wow. Good luck to you. I was a " self-pay " also. Unfortunately, I will be making those payments for many years to come. We were lucky to be homeowners and do an " equity loan. " My surgery was 36 thousand dollars & my panni was somewhere around 12 thousand. My payments are almost $700 per month, just on my surgeries and it is a stretch of the imagination.... (my husband is disabled & income is small). I am only working part-time. Good Luck to you, BARB B. Guest guest
Although I completely understand your desire to have this surgery, your first resource would be you PCP and your surgeon. They would be better able to get the insurance to pay for this surgery. Many of us have had to struggle with getting this surgery covered through insurance. Others have saved the money or borrowed it in order to get it covered. Have you tried contacting Life's Forgotten Angels? They have a website (www.lifesforgottenangels.org and actually provide a service of getting coverage for wls surgeries either through the insurance company or throught private contributions. There is a rigorous screening process to verify medical problems but it may be worth a try. I am much more willing to contribute to an organization like this then to an individual I do not know. I would need a lot more information to even consider contributing money to an individual. > I am a severe diabetic with lots of nerve damage, ect...
