Guest guest
Hallo I posted my hallo to the group a few weeks ago, but am now writing to tell everyone that unfortunately my mother died on Wednesday evening from pneumonia. She had been taken to hospital when we couldn't get her to respond on Tuesday morning, and was given oxygen. She then woke up, and we had a very good day together. The doctor admitted her to the hospital, and we were called during the night because they were worried about her lack of response to stimuli and about the terrific noise she was making while asleep. We explained that the noise was usual, but we were all very concerned about the lack of responsiveness. She didn't wake up again before she died at about 7.30pm on Wednesday. We are all very sad, but were expecting this to happen some time soon - this was her third bout of pneumonia in 11 months. We were able to arrange for my mother's brain and spinal cord to be donated to the Institute of Neurology in Queen Square in London for research. We hope they will be able to confirm the diagnosis of MSA. I want to thank members of the group for the information circulated through the group, and particularly for the MSA booklet and the lifting instructions, both of which I found extremely helpful. I'd also like to thank the nurse specialists of the Matheson Trust, who gave me lots of help and advice. If you're in the UK and want information about MSA I'd recommend contacting them. Thank you all. Cannon

Guest guest
: We had so little time to get to know you. It's only been a few weeks since you came to this list to get to know more about this awful illness. We didn't get a chance to laugh much with you,the time was so short, but do know that we cry with you over the lost of your mother. So sorry for your lost. God Bless Vera God saw you getting tired God saw you were getting tired, And a cure was not to be, So he put his arms around you And whispered, "Come to Me" With tearful eyes we watched you, And saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts To prove to us, He only takes the best. Guest guest
, My heart goes out to you and your loved ones of the passing away of your mother. Thank you for letting us know. I am so thankful that you were able to spend one last day with your mother before she passed on. This has happened so many times and I think it is God's way of letting us all be able to say our goodbyes and things we have wanted to say and haven't. I for one believe we can rejoice in that. I thank all concerned for donating your mother's brain and spine that research can me done that might help others one day. I believe the nurses were unresponsive to the noise your mother made because they knew she would be passing over very soon and didn't want to tell you. My husband's grandfather also made that noise before he passed away. My prayers are with you all.
