Guest guest
After dealing with Constipation for quite a while we are now faced with the opposite. For almost two weeks now, loose bowels and total incontinence. Is this normal to go from one to the other. If not, is there commonly an underlying problem. Am I ignoring something I should not ignore? I am planning a doctor appt. soon because we want to have a check up before hitting the road (and this problem would be difficult " on the road " )but should I be getting there sooner than later. Everything else seems to be the same. " Normal " BP flucuatons, same temp, maybe a little more depressed but could be related to the bowel problems. Thanks for any help. Guest guest
I wish I could offer advice. Certainly check with a doctor. However, don't be surprised if they can not conclusively find anything. But ALWAYS better to check than not. This situation is not unusual for me. Though I do not have as much problem with constipation as most, it is not at all unusual for fluctuate between that and diarrhea. Stress with work or family or even health seems to trigger the constipation. Of course, once I am able to release the stress my body seems to over compensate. Just my own personal observation. Please be aware, I have only been diagnosed with Sporadic OPCA. The doctor thinks MSA is a possibility. But too soon to know conclusively. So, my experience may not be significant in this group. Oh, yes, for everyone else I am here. Ask me anything, but NOT about work. I am pleased I was able to survive the past two weeks with nothing much worse that a small magnification of the symptoms. But I hope the stress at work does not continue too long. Regards, =jbf= B. Fisher
Guest guest
Oh, yes. You can certainly try the BRAT diet. Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Tea. It's something we learned from raising our two children. Bananas are my personal favorite. And it does seem to do the trick most of the time. Not always, but would rather try first with something simple like this. However, it also assumes plenty of liquid input (preferably something that replenishes some sugar and salt). Regards, =jbf= B.
